On Saturday, I participated in Peace Day at the State House organized by the Carolina Peace Resource Center to honor International Day of Peace (September 21st). It was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the importance of peace, unity and compassion in our communities. I recently visited the Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, Illinois and was quite impressed with the Center and how it embraced all of my beliefs. President Obama was truly a peacemaker and a changemaker and I captured those images in several of the pictures displayed at the Center. This weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the @WalkforPeace gathering in Columbia, South Carolina at the SC State House. It was such a momentous occasion to witness the monks as they continue on their multi-day journey from Texas to Washington DC to spread #Peace, #Joy and #Kindness to all!
