On Saturday, I participated in Peace Day at the State House organized by the Carolina Peace Resource Center to honor International Day of Peace (September 21st). It was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the importance of peace, unity and compassion in our communities. I recently visited the Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, Illinois and was quite impressed with the Center and how it embraced all of my beliefs.
